Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. Individuals with ASD often experience difficulties with social interaction and communication, hindering them from initiating and maintaining positive peer relationships. ASD individuals also experience restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests. that prohibit them from excelling in the academic setting and work force. Individuals with ASD may also have alternative ways of learning, maneuvering, or attending to tasks. We pride ourselves on assisting individuals with ASD to generalize their replacement behaviors and skills to all settings through Applied Behavior Analysis services.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Depression and Anxiety can push individuals away from living in the present moment. Individuals will learn appropriate replacement strategies that will assist in their negative self-talk and avoidant behaviors that have stemmed from anxiousness and depression. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

One of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will come to your home, and/or your child’s school, to do a comprehensive developmental evaluation. The evaluation process always starts with a meeting with you, the parents, where we learn all about your child’s history, your concerns, and your goals for your child. We use evidence based assessments such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, EFLS, and PEAK. The BCBA then creates an individualized treatment plan that targets your child’s skill deficits in each developmental domain. The evaluation and treatment plan process used by Rising Minds Therapy is based on years of research and practice proving the effectiveness of ABA therapy programs for children with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
Tailored to individual needs, ABA is delivered in a variety of settings, including school, home, work and other community settings. The goal of treatment is to help individuals function independently as possible across settings. Research shows with consistency ABA can significantly improve target behaviors and replacement skills and improve an individual and their family's quality of life.

RBTs must maintain ongoing supervision by their assigned BCBA. .BCBA's responsibilities include training on all procedures and strategies that are outlined within an individual's treatment plan providing monthly supervised session checklists.
Parent training is provided on a weekly basis discussing all behaviors and skills that are worked on within treatment sessions. Behavior team generalizes all procedures and strategies to caregivers through modeling and role-play to ensure improvement in functioning in the natural setting.
The Registered Behavior Technician Competency Assessment is a requirement to become a Registered Behavior Technician through the BACB. The purpose of completing the assessment is to ensure the RBT is knowledgeable in all tasks required of an RBT. With our qualified BCBAs on staff we are able to provide the support that is needed to pass the assessment and BACB test.
